As part of a refresh of the IMAX theater building, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex redesigned the lobby and hallway areas to replicate the feeling of being inside the International Space Station (ISS). The highlight of this refresh is a full size replica of the Copula window, requiring a custom designed rear projection system and creative content in ultra-high resolution that mimics the views of Earth from the ISS. Rockledge Design Group (RDG) was selected to provide a turnkey solution including project design, projection equipment, rear projection screen, and creative concept and production. High resolution source footage shot from the ISS was obtained and produced to create unique and amazing views of Earth.
