RDG was contacted by the Astronaut Memorial Foundation (AMF) with a unique challenge of upgrading the multimedia systems for a renovated long and narrow conference space on a fixed budget, while maintaining the overall goal of providing leading edge technology. RDG proposed, designed, and successfully implemented a high tech audio and video system for the AMF. The system includes two 4K high brightness projectors that project on large wall areas to the sides of the main speaker area. The 4K projectors are mounted with rotating motors, allowing for truly unique “painting” of the ends of the conference space walls and ceiling with visual content during the preshow. Two more HD projectors provide additional display capability at the ends of the room. For the audio system, RDG provided a state of the art surround sound system with capability to support speakers, bands, line inputs, and an array of speaker mics. Sound absorption paneling was designed and installed to assist in the acoustical treatment of the room.
